HOPCo Ltd Modern Slavery & Child Labour Statement

About us

Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo) Ltd, trading as myrecovery, HOPCo and msk.ai, is committed to conducting its business fairly, honestly and openly.

Our head office is in London, UK and we are a global organisation that works with public sector and private organisations across the world to implement and deliver our solutions. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in both our business and our supply chain.

msk.ai does not tolerate the crimes of modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour in all of their forms, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK) and other relevant laws, regulations and standards in the other countries that we operate within.

We ensure that modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour does not take place in our business or our supply chain. As a digital health company with a relatively small number of third party contractors, who we tend to know individually, the overall risk of modern slavery in our supply chain is low. This risk may be highest when we work with a third party abroad for contracted software engineering and/or testing.

Our commitment

We are committed to:

  • Respecting workers' rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining
  • Only working with suppliers and partners who adopt the same ethical standards in relation to modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour as we adopt in our business. Where relevant, this means doing due diligence to ensure responsible recruitment practices throughout our supply chain
  • Promoting best practice procurement processes with the aim of eliminating the risk of modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour
  • Ensuring that our customers can be confident that our products and services are free from modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour
  • Ensuring that our HR and procurement teams are aware of the relevant laws, regulations and standards and understand their role in supporting our policies on modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour. Policies relating to modern slavery and how to respond to a suspicion of modern slavery in our supply chain are found in the Team Handbook
  • Understand the heightened risks that may occur in some territories and in relation to some supplies and tailoring our approach accordingly
  • Not hiring any child in any country that has not yet reached the age of completion of compulsory schooling in that country, and, in any case, not before the age of 15
  • Not subject any employee under the age of 18 to performing any hazardous duties

All suppliers will be assessed for the risk of modern slavery at least annually and training will be provided to all HOPCo Ltd team members at least annually. These are key performance indicators of our efforts to tackle modern slavery. If a supplier is identified as being high risk in this regard, the supplier will be trained on our modern slavery policies and will be required to adhere to them as a contract condition.

We also need to be aware of how our actions and purchasing practices could unintentionally put pressure on suppliers leading to poor recruitment practices, worker conditions and low pay for workers.

Such activities could include:

  1. Aggressive pricing that does not consider sustainable production costs
  2. Short lead times
  3. Late high-volume orders
  4. Inaccurate forecasting
  5. Late or extended payments
  6. Withdrawing from contracts last minute
  7. Unfair penalties for not meeting orders despite last minute changes
  8. Inaccurate technical specifications

msk.ai has signed up to the Transparency in Supply Chains (TISC) platform and welcomes any further initiatives to improve conditions in our sector.

Following a repeat External Social Audit in Q1 2025, HOPCo Ltd is considering further steps to assess the nature and extent of exposure to the risk of modern slavery and undertake additional due diligence to protect the rights of workers in our organisation and supply chain and ensure that they are not trapped in debt bondage.
